The Tacoma Artist Collaborative brings together a vibrant mix of professional artists and community members, fostering creativity and collaboration. Whether you're a seasoned artist or someone exploring art for the first time, this collective provides a welcoming space to connect, create, and bring art projects to life.
The Universe We Built
Our first TAC initiative invites 8- to 9-year-old students to unleash their imaginations by creating their vision of the universe. This collaborative project, made possible through our partnership with Tacoma Public Schools, showcases the incredible creativity and teamwork of these young minds. The result, The Universe We Built, will be a centerpiece in our upcoming immersive art exhibit, Kai's Room.

Messy Rug
Slime and kids having fun—it’s a recipe for mess! But what if the mess was the art itself? Introducing a unique Tacoma Artist Collaboration where creativity knows no limits. Kids from the Eastside Community Center will transform an ordinary rug into a vibrant masterpiece using nothing but slime. This hands-on, messy, and imaginative experience encourages young artists to explore color, texture, and movement in an entirely new way.

Make a Button and Impressions Poster Workshop?
This workshop invited participants to explore what Tacoma means to them through hands-on creativity. Whether sketching their ideas on foam core or designing custom buttons, locals had the opportunity to express their unique perspectives through art. Their creations will become part of the upcoming immersive exhibit, Kai’s Room, where visitors can search for these one-of-a-kind buttons and posters hidden within the experience. Keep an eye out—you might just find a piece of your own work inside the exhibit!
