What is the Daily Population Tracker?

There are no questions that Tacoma is growing. From the everexpanding skyline downtown, to more cars on streets, more events, and more pedestrian traffic, the city grows gradually every day.

We did our calculations, based on data from three reputable sources. The United States Census, Word Population Review, and the Washington Office of Financial Management. We compiled data from prior years of the census form 2000 - 2024. From there we looked at net migration and population loss. Then we programmed code so that the tracker will update daily based on the information from sources.
